First Ultra Sound

We went for our first ultra sound yesterday. Ben was trying to prepare us in case it was two, but it wasn't! Just one beautiful baby in there! Looks like we're at 9 weeks. The due date was moved up to June 11th. The heart beat was strong and everything looked great! Tate was excited. He clapped and shouted when we finally saw the baby. I'm sure he has no idea what's really going on, but so far he's on board.

Finally!

Finally the word is out! I've been dying to tell people for almost 4 weeks!

Went to the doctors this morning at University of Chicago Hospitals. Saw, Dr. Natasha Jenkins, a nice youngish woman. Had to go through all the rigmarole, blood test, urine, poking and priding. Tate and Ben dutifully sat by. She prodded my belly to feel the uterus and said "Hum, that seems really big." I don't know what that means for sure. We have an standard Ultra Sound next week to check heartbeat and due date.

Fingers crossed there's only one baby in there!

Panera

We were sitting at Panera today, having lunch after church. Tate breaks off a piece of bread, hands it to me and says "God." He does the same to Ben.

Yes, that's right. Tate just gave us communion. I guess it's sinking in after all.

Names?

So here I am in the same boat Sarah was a few months ago...What to name it if it's a boy. Since before we were married we had the name Grace Ellen picked out for a girl. And if anyone thinks about stealing it...they will have to face my wrath!

Molly has declared it will be Emmett.

Ben and I kind of like Eli and Jasper. With Charles being the middle name.

I really haven't heard any good boy names lately. Ones that aren't taken already that is.

So there's the predicament!

Morning sickness

Today was the first bout with morning sickness. Already I can't wait for the first trimester to be over with. Because not only do I feel like vomiting, Tate and I have a nasty cold. I had to skip class today. Which is fine considering how crappy I feel.
On the baby website it says you're at higher risk of bad morning sickness if you're a) carrying multiples or b) carrying a girl. Let's hope it's option b!
